Tune in tomorrow!
We’re launching our new weekly podcast version of the show. It drops tomorrow. It will feature our interviews with Dr. Brett Reed and Myq Kaplan as well as a performance by The Keystone Kids. Pretty pumped.

Local Radio Commercial
In case you missed it on the radio this week, here’s the commercial Cat Country 96.1 put together for our show tomorrow.
We did not make this.
Interview with Jesse Thorn
The public radio show Bullseye is about finding the best stuff in popular culture, but is itself one of the best things out there. Having a chance to talk to its host Jesse Thorn was a huge honor. He’s one of the few people in the world I really admire for being able to do what they love and doing it incredibly well. Check out Bullseye on maximumfun.org and look into some of the other podcasts while you’re there.
We’ll have the extended version of this interview available as the second episode of our own podcast. You can check out our first episode with Huckleberry Finn: Robotic Edition editors Gabe Diani and Etta Devine.
Back in December we decided it would be fun to take some well known internet cat photos and replace them with our very own Pat Janssen for a segment we call Lolz Patz. Turns out yes, it was fun… for everyone but Pat. A lot of these positions were pretty painful.
In case you’re unfamiliar with cat photos on the internet, here’s a pretty standard one. Then there’s the Pat version:

Got the idea?

That wasn’t even the most painful one we made Pat do, but he still assures us it was pretty painful.

After we did this one on the show we realized not enough people know what Dune is, and that’s a shame.

This wasn’t very comfortable for Pat either… or anyone in the room.

This was shot in front of Glen’s house. His neighbors questioned him about what exactly was going on with “The fella with the cat ears.”

It looks relaxing, but this was another one Janssen was claiming hurt.

This is our favorite because we like making Janssen lick stuff.
Check out our Flickr Page for larger versions of the photos if you’d like.
What dumb thing should we make Pat do in photos for the next show?
Here’s the first episode of our podcast. Will it be the last? No! We have two more on the way. Will those be the last? Maybe!
We kind of put this out as a default because we didn’t have usable video of our interview with Gabe Diani and Etta Devine, but it was great and we want to share it with you. Because we love you. In a friendly way.
Next on the docket is our interview with Bullseye’s Jesse Thorn, and then Glen’s chat with Myq Kaplan in extended form.
And remember, everyone start getting pumped for this weekend.
Also, check out Cat Country 96 morning trivia this week to win tickets, and if you’re stuck in traffic listen for our commercial featuring Glen and some of the Flighty Ducks.
Time to upload some stuff. Party on!
Here’s our interview with the lovely Jill Pantozzi from our December show. Sorry for the delay. We thought we had our Youtube and Tumblr pages linked. We did not. If you want to avoid missing out just head to youtube.com/pretendingtobeonTV and subscribe to our channel. It’s really the way to go, kids.
Our December 4th show featured blogger and Textual Healing author Eric Smith, who you may know as the guy who sold his unused engagement ring and bought a suit of Master Chief armor from Halo. He and Glen talk about heartbreak, writing and Skyrim.
The last three months have been a lot of fun, and we’re happy to tell you that ArtsQuest has picked us up for next year as well so we’ll be back on January 8th with what we’re calling Season 2.
We’ve spent most of this time working out how to run the show for the live show in the best way possible, but now we’ll be pushing to build our online presence a lot more. We’ll be posting regular clips from the show as well as web-only content.
A big thank you to everyone who’s come out to support our show. It’s a lot more fun pretending to be on television with people watching you.
Word on the street is there’s a piece about our show in tomorrow’s Express Times. If it’s not in print it will be online, but you’re ready this so you’re probably down with the internet.
